Licensed Structural Engineer

(Waterloo or Cedar Rapids Office)

Position Requirements:

  • Structural analysis and design
  • Strong AutoCAD and computer skills
  • Design of steel reinforced foundations, support structures, equipment foundations, beams and columns.
  • Strong working knowledge of AISC, ACI and Industrial Building Codes along with other national standards.
  • Solid knowledge of structural analysis programs used in the industry. Preferably RISA and Enercalc.
  • Mentoring of junior engineers and CAD/ Revit drafters
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a workload of multiple projects of varying complexity.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and capability to facilitate a teamwork environment
  • Strong verbal and written skills

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited program required.                                                                                    P.E. OR S.E. REQUIRED
  • A minimum of 5 years post college graduation experience required.
  • Experience in Project Management in the industrial sector a plus

Structural & Architectural Designer

Position Requirements:

  • Structural analysis and design
  • Strong REVIT and computer skill
  • Create complete construction document
  • Pick up red line and plan comments in accordance with project plan and schedule
  • 3D Renderings
  • Perform review and approval of all shop drawings
  • Perform site visits and site surveys
  • Meet with clients as requested

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Strong skills in computer and REVIT software 
  • Ability to multi-task from project to project
  • Create and revise CAD drawing sets
  • Be a self-motivated, self-starter
  • Capable of taking and following direction
  • 5+ years production experience in engineering and or architectural drafting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
  • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
  • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e‐mail, Web‐enabled applications, and database software
  • Ability to produce steel shop drawings preferred
